TUNG HOANG

Tung is Vice President at IDG Capital Vietnam, where he leads investments across Investment Funds, Private Equity, and Growth Equity, with a focus on Clean Technology, Clean Energy, and AI Data Centers.

He brings over 20 years of professional experience across FDI, state-owned, and private enterprises in diverse sectors, including Real Estate, Construction, Investment, Manufacturing, F&B, Telecommunications, Renewable Energy, AI Data Centers, and Semiconductors.

Prior to joining IDG Capital Vietnam, Tung served as Head of Finance at T&T Group, one of Vietnam’s largest private conglomerates with a strong presence in energy and industrial ecosystems. He was also Former Chairman & CEO of Yang Trung Wind Power, where he successfully led 10 M&A transactions in wind and solar projects and arranged over USD 1 billion in debt and bond financing for the group’s portfolio.

Throughout his career, Tung has held senior leadership roles in investment and finance at major organizations, including HUD, Golden Gate Group, Hoa Sao Group, Vingroup, CMC Telecom, and Prime Group – Perfetto Investments Holding.

In addition, Tung has worked as a Finance Expert for the World Bank Group, where he developed deep expertise in renewable energy financing and structured equity funding for solar and wind projects in Vietnam. He also has extensive experience in investment activities within the Hong Kong market.

Tung possesses strong capabilities in Fundraising, Corporate Restructuring, Private Equity, IPOs, M&A, Due Diligence, Financial Structuring, and Project Investment. Notably, he has successfully executed financing solutions for Vietnam’s real estate market through the issuance of Green Bonds and international funding instruments.

Tung holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Accounting from the National Economics University and is an ACCA Professional Candidate.
